Care tips
Care tips for:    Fresh Cut Flowers and Roses
  • All cut flowers should be placed in water as soon as possible.
  • Clean your nonmetal containers thoroughly as flowers are susceptible to bacteria and will not last to their full potential if the container has any residual dirt or mold from the last arrangement.
  • Fill the container with fresh tepid water and add the floral preservative provided or 1 tsp. of bleach. (This applies to all flowers except for any bulb flowers such asTulips,Narcissus, and Anemones which then do not require any preservative or bleach, simply cool water.)
  • Remove any foilage on the stem that would fall below the water line to prevent bacteria from growing.
  • With a clean sharp knife, cut atleast 1 inch off the bottom of the stem at a sharp clean angle to allow maximum water absorbtion.
  • Place the stem immediately into prepared water.

  • * Special note for roses:
  • With roses, you should follow the above guidelines but, instead of cutting flowers out of water the end of the stem should be place in s till tepid water.
  • Using a sharp knife cut the rose stem under water on a sharp angle and place immediately into prepared water. (By cutting the rose under water this will prevent any air bubbles from forming in the stem which can cause the head to droop.)
Care tips for:    Fresh Arrangement
  • Upon receiving an arrangement of fresh flowers you should check the water level either by sight (in a clear glass vase) or by feeling into the container and add fresh tepid water prepared with Floral preservative as necessary.
  • This should be done on a daily basis to ensure your flowers will last to their potential.
  • Enjoy your fresh flowers in a cool location in your home away from any direct heat or sunlight.
  • We encourage you to remove any faded flowers or petals from your bouquet in order to keep it looking its freshest for as long as possible.
